Ralph live on video at StageIt.com
Okay, gang, I'm trying something new here! I will be playing a live acoustic set on a site called StageIt.com. The basic concept is that I play live into my computer screen, and you can purchase a ticket to watch, and communicate with me in real time through a chatting feature. I've left the ticket price open to your discretion, as my goal is for you to you participate and let me know what you think. This won't replace live shows for me, but if it can be a way to augment what we do together, then that's great. Plus, these shows are on the internet, so I hope it can be a way for me to connect with those of you who are not in Chicagoland.
The show will be 30 minutes long, because that's the longest time they allow for the majority of their shows. We all know that's about three hours too short for a typical show of mine, but this is an experiment, so we'll go with it! You'll need to sign up for their service and deposit enough for whatever ticket price you'd like to pay. Their system works on using "notes" to pay for tickets -- each note is worth 10 cents, so you can do the math. Hey, and you'll be at home, so you can't beat the drink prices!
And, lucky you, the night we chose for this experiment is a night we'd planned a Bad Examples rehearsal, so you'll get to see the whole darn band! We might not get anything else done at rehearsal after all the excitement, but, what the heck, if it's going to be an adventure then we might all well dive in all the way. So... what are you waiting for? Check out the info below and join us!
